Reality of Mechanical Engineers in India

Dear Readers,
As you already know that Engineering in india is very easy to get admitted academically.
If you score just passing marks than also you can get admission into engineering.

But It is my duty to give you transparent openions about mechanical engineers in our country.

As You know to get admission in Gujarat engineering colleges, you must apply for GUJCET and clear the competitive exam, Then you must apply for counseling for admission. In counseling process you have to choose the colleges as well as the courses as per personal preferences. Then what the counseling process starts, and then you get admission in one of the colleges and courses in which you have applied.

After you get admission into one of the courses, you are trapped for 4 years. In those 4 years yoi ho have to study and clear 50 different courses/subjects in the span of 8 semesters. If you can't qialify to get minimum number of marks you will get backlog in that subject, and that subject will stuck with you untill and unless you get rid off with it by passing with minimum marks. There are again certain rules for keeping your academic backlogs at the end of each year. If you are backloging in more than 4 subjects in GTU , you will be declared as a "Detained student'. And you will get a detention for about a semester or a year depending on number of backlogs you have pending at that moment of time.

At the end of 6th semester you are supposed to get an internship or sort of vocation training based on your trade in the vacation period between 6th and 7th semester. The training is not mendatory, but it will give you an extra edge and enhance your CV/resume.

After getting yoir training done, you must find your Project in 7th semester, it can be for 1 sem or for 2 semesters. You also need to choose a faculty member as your project guide.

In the 4th year , companies starts their placement process or hiring process. That is the time when you must give your full dedication if you want a good job in those companies.
